ATAV VIGO - Bus rental - Important notice
We would like to inform our Clients that all EEC passenger transport services are obliged to fulfil fundamental safety requirements established by current EC regulation n. 561/2006, which we have summarised below.
All travelling personnel employed by A.T.A.V. VIGO S.p.A. must strictly observe current regulations imposed by Law concerning driving and rest times in order to guarantee and safeguard passenger safety.

1) Driving times:
- 9 hours of driving per day
- 10 hours of driving per day twice per week
- a maximum of 56 hours of driving per week (4 days at 9 hours and 2 days at 10 hours)
- a maximum of 90 hours of driving over a two week period
2) Pause every 4h30’ of driving:
- pause amounting to 45’ consecutively spent for every 4h30’ of driving
- or two pauses, obligatorily at least 15’ and 30’ each, in 4h30’ of driving.
ATTENTION! The second pause must last at least 30' even if the first pause lasted more than 15'.
3) Daily rest (night time):
- regular rest periods: 11 consecutive uninterrupted hours or two periods of 3+9 hours, always uninterrupted.
- reduced rest periods: three times per week, the rest period may be less than 11 hours, but never less than 9 uninterrupted hours.
4) Weekly rest period – after 6 – 24-hour periods (6 working days)
-regular rest periods: equal to 45 uninterrupted hours
- reduced rest periods: minimum of 24 uninterrupted hours, the difference with relative increases must be compensated for within the following three weeks.
5) Daily availability of the driver (operational procedures):
- On the understanding that the hours indicated in point 1) are observed, the maximum daily obligation of the driver is 15 hours, provided that during the 15 hours he/she has at least one rest period of at least 3 consecutive hours.
6)Use of a second driver:
- if ever two drivers are used to alternate driving, both must be able to have a daily rest period of 9 uninterrupted hours every 30 hours.

Please verify directly with our rental office the possibility of varying the schedule or itinerary in consideration of the fact that the drivers are obliged to observe the conditions above.
